Yoga is an ancient practice meaning "union." It can be described as a union of the body with mind and spirit. At ALW, we offer private, one-on-one classes, private, small group classes, and corporate yoga events aimed to help students develop and enhance a new or existing yoga practice, emphasizing awareness of breath while synchronizing movement and maintaining safety in posture.

Yoga is an ancient practice meaning "union" or "to yoke." It can be described as a union of the body, mind, and spirit and has the power to bring students a deep interconnectedness to many things. Many people come to the mat to increase flexibility, strength, and other health benefits. These are all wonderful goals, and we would be happy to guide you in your practice.

There is also a strong spiritual component to a complete yoga practice which can complement any belief system one holds. Yoga has a long and deep history that is about much more than fitness. In addition to physical goals, students may be compelled to evolve their practice beyond the mat. This may include meditation, breathwork, and more.

There are many styles of yoga. At Abundant Life Wellness, our most commonly practiced style is called Hatha yoga which is used to describe almost any style of yoga that involves physical poses. Some classes most closely align with Vinyasa style practices which synchronize breath with each movement. Students "flow" from one pose to another, and classes can vary from slow to powerful. Other classes may be more restorative in nature and designed to be deeply relaxing and rejuvenating.

All private, one-on-one sessions are customized to a student's unique needs.
